John F. Barnes Myofascial Release:

MFR is a safe and very effective hands-on technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the Myofascial connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion. This essential “time element” has to do with the viscous flow and the piezoelectric phenomenon: a low load (gentle pressure) applied slowly will allow a viscoelastic medium (fascia) to elongate. Each Myofascial Release Treatment session is performed directly on skin without oils, creams or machinery. This enables the therapist to accurately detect fascial restrictions and apply the appropriate amount of sustained pressure to facilitate release of the fascia.

60min - $100  90min - $130   (*Sara only)

Therapeutic Massage

Therapeutic massage: both the client and practitioner have a shared goal of achieving structural changes within the body. Designed to remove severe tension, deep tissue massage is a technique used to relieve both muscles and connective tissue below the surface. It helps to improve range of motion and heal injuries below the surface.

"When I first found out Sara was a massage therapist, I thought she would be great because she is so fit! Her background in physical therapy also helps! I have searched for a massage therapist who could actually work my muscles! I was an athlete in my younger days and recently got back into the gym. She is absolutely wonderful and has helped me with my with injuries, sore muscles and muscle knots from a stressful job. As a physician, I encourage the women I see in the office to be sure to do something to pamper themselves and a massage from Sara is an excellent choice. She is very friendly, professional and truly a wonderful massage therapist. She can tailor your session for a specific problem or simply relaxation and you will be so glad you went. I wholeheartedly recommend Sara to all my friends and patients and look forward to my monthly visits! :) "

"It's very easy for me to refer patients to Sara.  With her physical therapy background, I am extremely confident she will do an excellent job working out those 'stubborn muscle knots' and increase flexibility. She is a very well rounded massage therapist, versed in many different techniques.  Not only have I received rave reviews from the patients I have sent to Sara, I can also give my own.  Sara has given my wife and I several massages and I can say she is definitely one of the best massage therapists around!"
