Leigha Burns, LMBT
Licensed Massage & Bodywork Therapist #17393
Leigha was born in Kansas and grew up in Minnesota. She earned her undergraduate degree in Exercise and Sport Science from the University of Wisconsin River Falls. Leigha moved to the Wilmington area in 2014. She was interested in studying massage because she felt she could help people relieve chronic or acute pain, or simply just facilitate massage for maintenance. She does not believe in putting a band aid on injuries or pain but strives to heal through massage. As such, she studied massage therapy at Miller-Motte College in Wilmington, NC, where she graduated in 2018. Leigha began her career with Massage Envy, where she worked for 3.5yrs. She took CE courses to better herself and further her career in deep tissue, hot stone, sports, and Bowen Massage therapy. Leigha has experience in healing sciatica pain, dealing with arthritis-related and other forms of inflammation, sports injuries, muscle spasms, as well as other musculoskeletal pain. Additionally, Leigha focuses on increasing flexibility, range of motion, and enhancing individual performance. When she is not working, Leigha enjoys spending time with her dog, playing and watching sports, and going to the beach.
